P2P Rundown

Bit Torrent- Originially conceived as a way to distribute Linux ISO files, it uses one of the fiest Peer-to-Peer technologies using something call .torrent files which contains all the information for connecting to other users to get the actually file. This is where I personally get all my TV shows, movies, applicationgs/programs and whole albums. great source of .torrent files is www.suprnova.org. The client I use is the standard pretty much, Azureus.
Ares Lite- This is the program that I most use if I want to get a quick app(application) or mp3 with out having to go through www.suprnova.org. Connection is the best ive seen through standalone P2P clients
Kazaa Lite Resurrection- After Kazaa took down the original Kazaa Lite K++ edition, a few bored programmers brought it back to life with its new and present incarnation as Kazaa Lite Resurrection, I also use this to get a quick app or mp3.
IRC- Although somewhat complicated to use and not as straight forward as some of the other alternatives that I have described, it can be useful. Use what I have tough to so far and get mIRC(if your using windows) and use websites such as www.packetnews.com or www.ircspy.com and search for your desired file or media, and then get all the bot information and use the following command:/msg [botname] xdcc send #[packetnumber]
while filling in the alloted information, the bot will ask you to connect and click yes(NOTE: check to see that your firwall and filesharing options are correct before you do this)
